Results of Dr. Cohen's work on the CM MI2 Loop were presented in several Communications Quarterly CM articles. The most notable article was entitled: "Fractal CM Loops and the Small Loop Approximation", Winter 1996. CM According to Dr. Cohen's results, the MI2 Fractal Loop has CM a resistance of 26 ohms at the first resonance. The gain CM of the antenna at resonance is 2 dBi. CM The results determined from EZNEC with this MI2 model are CM consistent with Dr. Cohen's work. CM The first resonance occurs between 15.15 and 15.16 MHz with CM a resistance of 28 ohms. The antenna gain is 1.83 dBi. CM The 2:1 SWR bandwidth wrt 50 ohms is approximately 1.05%. CM Note that the wire radius in this model is 3.2 mm. This is CM important for comparing antennas as wire radius will impact CM resonant frequency.
